Jeremiah 29:11
(AMP) For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.
Many of us nowadays christians are too ambitious to fully surrender our path to God. We daily live with plans and strategies to achieve our high dreams and plans. An average believer who isn't deeply rooted in God's word spend half of the day worrying about things to come and things happening, because we lack the understanding of God unfailing plans for us. The scripture says do not worry of what to eat, but in all situations, rejoice. This is because the Lord knows what he thinks of us. Before you were formed in your mothers womb, he knew you and he has called you to be a prophet unto nations. Your existence isn't a surprise to him. You exist for a reason. He has a specific mandate for your existence. He didn't create you to leave you for yourself.
Whenever we are so full of anxiety, doubt and worry as believers, we're putting limits on the things God had planned to do with our life. Devil, the adversary knows that God have the best intentions for his children; in other to terminate God's agenda of greatness for us, he introduces vices like worry, fear, doubt...to place limitations on God's plans for us. We must learn to stay on guard to reach the level of greatness God has planned for us as His children. He has our best interest at heart.
The only thing required of us is to fully surrender our fears to Him and allow Him carry it all for us.
WHY DO BELIEVERS FAIL TO SURRENDER ALL TO GOD AND FOLLOW HIS PLAN?
• Because we don't feel connected to God.
Anyone who feels truly connected to God and has an undiluted love for Him will understand that God is their shield, their glory and the lifter of their head. The fear of tomorrow will not lead them into building a facade of success that is not in the will of God for them because they are truly connected to their maker.
There'll be intimacy that gives assurance of a successful life God, constant communication that gives peace.
Knowing solidly that God is for me, who can be against me?
This reveals that many believers fail to trust in God's plan because they are not sure of His existence.
• Because we don't know how capable God is.
Many of us sings of God's greatness, but the understanding of how omniscient and awesome He really is hasn't dawned on us. We don't see the capability and great ability of God to see us through. There's a level of confidence that comes from knowing and having the direct contact of the president of the United States of America, and knowing you can reach without any hindrance.
When you dwell so much on the word of God and feed yourself with His possibilities, you'll be confident enough to trust Him even in uncertain circumstances.
So, instead of chasing shadows, find the truth about God and hold on to Him to fulfill His plans for your life. Spend your days chasing things that are readily available for you in God.
The scripture says, firstly seek the kingdom of God and all other things shall be added unto you. Even in the midst of uncertainties, He made it clear to us that all things work together for the good of those who love God and those who are called according to His purpose. As long as you're His child, you must learn to fully subject yourself to His leadings, remembering that those who are His children are led by Him.
Have you been asking yourself questions like can God really take me through this ocean of life?
Yes, He can! He is enough. Challenges will tempt you, unpalatable situations will shake you, but I'm assuring you that Jesus' plans for you can be trusted. He is dependable and intentional. Why not cast on him your heavy yoke and take on the light ones he has given you?
Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.
Discover God's original plan for you and tread it carefully, it will undoubtedly lead you to success. It may be uneasy, rough and slippery but no one trust in the Lord and reap vanity.
Note, there's a way that seems right to men but its end thereof is destruction. Leave the vehicle of your life in his care and let him guide you through.
