Peace is one of the fruit of the spirit that should find expression in your life as a believer. No believer is meant to live with a troubled mind: carrying around burdens Jesus has bore for you. As a child of God, part of your inheritance in God is peace that transcend the wisdom of the world. In a world full of vile, different level of insecurity coupled with sickness, and depression, the peace of God is readily available to sustain you.
The Lord is my best friend and my shepherd. I always have more than enough. He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace, the quiet brook of bliss. That’s where he restores and revives my life. He opens before me pathways to God’s pleasure and leads me along in His footsteps of righteousness so that I can bring honour to his name.
Psalms 23:1-3
This passage is the will of God for all His children.
Jesus Christ didn't give up His life on the cross of calvary in vain. He died to give us liberty, and that liberty brings peace and rest. He bore your sins, your fears, your worries so they would no longer be yours.
He paid the price to give you daily freedom, freedom to live, freedom to breathe, freedom to walk in the power of liberty. Do you know how much it grieves His heart when the very things He died for still find expression in your life? He gave up His life so that you and I may truly live. He sacrificed Himself to give us assurance, assurance of life, assurance of peace, assurance of eternity.
What greater love is this?
You're no longer a slave to sin, to fear, to sorrow...
The presence of Jesus Christ and the Holy ghost in your life should bring peace. The scripture admonishes us to not grieve the Holy Spirit which reveals His peaceful nature. He is not chaotic; therefore His presence in your life brings comfort. When Jesus is in the boat, you can smile in the storm. The Holy Spirit serves as a guardian that leads you beside the still water. He gives rest to your soul when you truly surrender yourself to Him.
Whenever you realize that your mind is troubled and your life is in chaos, check your connection with God. When you stray from the king of peace and the prince of peace, peace becomes absent in your life. This is the reason why dwelling in God's presence is not optional but important and significant for every child of God. In His presence there's liberty. There's a kind of rest of mind that settles upon you when you constantly abide in His presence. Assurance of a beautiful existence will be constantly available to you; It gives one peace, knowing God has got you.
When you're confused about life and you're uncertain about the next step you should take, don't be troubled, just come with an open heart to the throne of mercy and you'll encounter the presence of God.
(AMP) Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.] John 14:27
The reason why you see children of God staying through, standing firm even in situations that are uncomfortable is because they have access to the peace that is not situation sponsored but God sponsored. It gives an unconditional joy and rest of mind.
Looking at another dimension, Peace in form of divine health can be found in God. The scripture records several instances where Jesus healed various sicknesses and diseases. This brings us back to staying in God.
Do not wait until situations reach a climax stage before involving God. Prevention is better than cure. Choose to live in your identity in God and enjoy His unlimited peace.
