Cultivating a personal relationship is a significant part of every Christian’s life. Building a close and intimate relationship with Him. To get to know someone, you must strive to communicate better with them, either physically or virtually. For every believer, you must get to the point of knowing God for and by yourself through close contact with God. Beyond your preacher’s message, beyond sermons, you must build a one-on-one relationship with God.
Intimacy → One of the true ways to sustain a relationship is to build intimacy. As it grows, your bond grows. The more you know each other, the more you understand your nature and heart. If you want to get to know more about God, understand His ways and nature, you must strive to grow intimate with Him. This is the power of the secret place.
He who dwells in the secret place of God, shall abide under the shadow of the almighty.
A secret place is a location where you meet with God on a daily basis. This serves as your altar, your contact place. This is where you encounter Him daily in scriptures, in prayers, in still moments, in worship, and more.
This is the location where you experience and explore the heart of God. This is the place where you cultivate a heart that truly seeks Him to understand His ways and nature. A place of surrender, solace, and refreshment. It becomes your safe haven, your place of comfort.
The Lord seeks a personal relationship with every one of His children. He wants to be able to reach you one-on-one. We have a Father who is capable of reaching us one-on-one. He is available. The secret place is a place where you receive personal confirmation about yourself and go deep into the mystery of God. He wants to show you the depth of Him through building a personal communion with Him.
Know this, you can’t get access to the integral part of God without the secret place. In the secret place, He commits assignments into your hands and shows you the path to achieve them.
The Lord will only use men of the secret place to push His agenda on earth. Daniel, the three Hebrews, Abraham (the friend of God), David (the man after God's heart), Moses, these are the bible characters who built personal relationship with God. They all sought after the heart of God and made great impacts in their generation. The generals the Lord has used and still using in our generation were/are men of the secret place. If you will do something substantial and significant for God, you must be a person of the secret place. Forging and training begins from there.
Your personal relationship is the secret of your consistency in God. To last in God and His will for your life, you must build your secret place with God daily.
